My Healthy Hair Secrets and how to keep it beautiful
Healthy Hair Secret one:
When you’re on holiday and go for a swim in the sea, of course you’d like to look like Giselle Bündchen in the Chanel commercial: sexy wet healthy hair that you can sweep from left to right and all the guys who look your way…
The first thing*: nope. Because you’re going to tie your hair up in a sexy bun or tail, so that it won’t get wet and doesn’t get damaged by the sun (which is going to happen when you’re letting your salty hair dry in the sun)
Healthy hair Secret two:
Same thing for swimming in a pool, but for a different reason: to keep your color as beautiful as it is right now. If you’re swimming in the pool every day and you make your hair wet in the chlorine water, your color will get messed up (greenish), you don’t want that, so again: tie that hair up!
Health hair Secret three:
I like to use L’Occitane en Provence, because it smells really great and my hair looks healthier if I use it regularly 🙂
The ingredients:
L’ Occitane en Provence
>Ylang-Ylang; strengthens your scalp
>Ceder; decreases hair-breakage
>Rosemary; Makes dull and brittle hair more beautiful
>Juniper Berry; purifies your scalp
>Cypress; stimulates, in combination with a hair massage, the micro circulation of your scalp.
You can use it on dry or wet hair once or twice a day–you don’t have to rinse it off- What I do is : I use it before I go to sleep, I spray it on my hair and then I massage my scalp for four minutes.
I’ve been using this product for about a month now; my hair seems to look more healthy and shiny and has more volume, more body and strength + it has been growing a bit faster. (My hair increased with three centimetres in one month)
Would this be something for you?
Healthy hair Secret four:
Enough about the wet hair. Let’s talk about split ends. Some products say they can “cure” split ends, been there done that: It.. Does.. Not.. Work.. So… ?
Healthy hair Secret five:
First of all be nice to your hair, don’t treat it like you’d treat an annoying bug –what?- You heard me! Treat your hair like it’s the most precious thing in the whole world, which it actually is. Put a nice mask in your hair now and then, try this home-made one for example:
For thick and shiny hair:
>One banana
>One table spoon honey
>Two tablespoons of Mayonaise
Mix it all together and your mask is done!
Healthy hair Secret six:
Avoid hair ties with metal pieces
Healthy hair Secret seven:
Don’t brush, but comb your hair gently when it’s wet
Healthy hair Secret eight:
When the time is ready to cut off those split ends, go looking for a good hairdresser and go once in a while, so that your hair gets pampered and will look beautiful again.
If you don’t want the hairdresser to cut off too much, just ask them: “Could you show me how much exactly you’re going to cut off?” By saying “I don’t want you to cut off more than 2 centimeters of my hair,” they’ll usually say yes, but you’ll end up by shorter hair and you don’t want that.
Healthy hair Secret nine:
Still got too much cut off? No worries! It will grow ánd now your hair will look healthy even longer. Okay, it’s not fun when this happens but it’s not the end of the world, right? You could also go for extensions if you want longer hair (also a fun alternation)
