A lot of us girls have a problem with how to clean our closet out. What do I keep and what do I have to throw away/ give away/ sell?
I’ll tell you how I’m doing this so you keep a good overview of what you have in your closet.
This is what I do:
To store your items in a proper way you must clean out your closet. An other benefit of this is you see what you’ve got.
Clean out your closet every six months
If you haven’t worn it in 6 months or more separate these clothes(the first time you do this it will be a BIG clean out). This will help you see the content of your wardrobe which will save you time, as you won’t have to go through all of clothes every time you need an outfit.
Take out the old and put in the new
Take the clothes you have separated, fold them neatly and put them in a storage box and hide them somewhere in your house… So technically you’re not getting rid of any clothes just yet. This will eliminates that feeling of “I haven’t worn it in months but I might wear it soon”.
Wait 6 months, and then repeat
If you haven’t open the box in the past 6 months than it’s save to say you will never. And probably some time even before that. So get ride of these clothes. Donate or sell them.
If you do have opened the box and wore some of the clothes again, then keep them and ad some other.
Repeat this process every 6 months and you’ll always have a clean and tidy closet.
And remember, you don’t need to be a model to look like you’ve stepped off the runway – you just need a killer wardrobe and some lipstick!
