In my dream I was… at the oscars but with this outfit I’d definitely be outfit-proof for the Red Carpet, don’t you think?
The Oscars Dresses…
This my top 5 of those who could have looked better
Laura Baily in a Chanel Couture: little house on the Prairie much…
Scarlet Johansson in an Atelier Versace gown. Scarlet is absolutely gorgeous, but this gown doesn’t do anything good to her. Even though you see her beautiful shape in this dress, she looks a little masculine. You don’t see her long neck and her hair should have been put to either one side or loose.
Julienne Moore in a Chanel Couture Gown. This woman is absolutely beautiful and she looks really elegant, but this dress doesn’t really do something for her. Because of the strapless shape, your eyes are focused on her upper-body, so I think a high fitted dress or something with a sleeve would have suit her better.
Kara Knightley wore a Valentino Couture dress from the new Spring/Summer collection and although she doesn’t look really bad in this dress: it does look a little bit too much Disney for me. Maybe If her hair would be in an up-do it would have looked better, but for now I’m not super enthusiastic about this look.
Gwyneth Paltrow in a custom-made Ralph & Russo. This pink-powder-colour makes Gwyneth look a little pale, which is a shame because she’s not. If the shade of pink would have been just a little brighter it would have been perfect.
My top 5 of the best Oscars looks:
Margot Robbie in a Saint Laurent gown, absolutely love this look. The super beautiful, sophisticated and elegant dress, the edgy hair-cut, red lip… Love.
Sienna Miller in an Oscar the la Renta… Love this look, she looks stunning! Although she is a blonde, this all-black-gown doesn’t make her pale at all. She nailed it.
Rita Ora in a Marchesa: stunning
Rosamund Pike in a Givenchy Haute Couture. One word: Va-va-voom.
Lupita Nyong’o in a Calvin Klein gown. I was so curious about what she would look like after previous years’ dress… A-MA-ZING, her skin is só beautiful and this dress is simple, but elegant.
And my own oscars dress?
I’ve never worn a gown like this white one before, but I felt like a celebrity for sure… If you need a beautiful gown for a gala or event and you want all eyes on you when you enter the room: pick this one. The little sleeves but naked shoulders make this dress really elegant, from your knees to the bottom this dress is a little see-through and the back is low-cut (do: make sure your wear really tight panties underneath this dress)
