Jo Malone London – creating a fragrance that’s unique and totally you. Great to give and great to get. Perfect for Christmas or for spoiling yourself <3 ♥

Hi lovelies! When you’re in the Bijenkorf a lot, or if you’ve been to London, you probably know the brand: Jo Malone London. A little while ago, I was invited to experience Jo Malone London myself and today I’ll tell you about it.
A fragrance is something that’s really personal. When you smell a scent, it will revoke a specific memory. Together with Jo Malone London – stylist “Esther”, we found out which fragrance was the right one for me and which feeling it had to revoke. I told her I have three favorites: My Chanel Nr. 5; to feel powerful and confident, Heat – Beyoncé; a sexy, sweet and sensual scent, and Ice – Mexx; a sportive fresh fragrance. I said I loved the idea of finding a new sensual and feminine fragrance. That being said, Esther went looking for fragrances she thought would be the right ones for me.

Eventually, we choose this fragrance with cacao. The fun and unique part of Jo Malone London, is that you can combine all products and scents for a unique smell. We found two combinations that were fantastic together. But, before I made my final decision, Ester wanted me to smell the newest fragrance: Lime, Basil & Manderin. Maybe it’s new for you: Basil in a fragrance, but whát an invention. Personally, I love basil and this one made me really happy. A múst-smell!

Because I became really enthusiastic about this fragrance, Esther went looking for a combination. This became: Dark Amber & Ginger Lily. A delicious combo. Fresh, sexy and really classy. We found it the perfect combo for me, so we went for those two. After that, I got a lovely hand- and arm massage, where Ester used different products from the Basil-line and the Ginger Lily line. Because of the way of building up with products, the scents strengthen each other, which results in a smell that lasts all day.

Not just a fragrance

Jo Malone London isn’t just a fragrance or smell, buying a product real quick and get back home. It’s an experience you need and want to experience. Apart from the amazing body (and perfumes) line, they also have a “home”-line with scented candles and sprays, so you can also give your home a lovely and cosy smelling ambiance.

Hi lovelies! Als je veel in de Bijenkorf te vinden bent, of in London bent geweest ken je het waarschijnlijk wel: Jo Malone London. Laatst was ik uitgenodigd om Jo Malone London zelf eens te komen ervaren en vandaag vertel ik jullie daar wat meer over.

Een geur is iets heel persoonlijks.

Wanneer je een bepaalde geur ruikt, roept het een bepaalde herinnering op. Samen met Jo Malone London – stylist “Esther”, zochten we uit wat voor soort geur bij mij paste en welk gevoel het moest oproepen. Zo vertelde ik haar dat ik drie favoriete geuren heb: Mijn Chanel Nr. 5; om mij krachtig en zelfverzekerd te voelen, Heat – Beyoncé; een sexy, zoete en zwoele geur en Ice – Mexx; een sportieve frisse geur. Ik zei haar dat ik het leuk vond, een zwoele, vrouwelijke geur te vinden. Dat gezegd hebbende, ging Esther op zoek naar geuren die ze bij mij vond passen.

Uiteindelijk kwamen we uit op een geur met cacao. Het leuke en unieke van Jo Malone London, is dat je alle producten en geuren kunt combineren voor een unieke geur. Zo kwamen we op twee combinaties die lekker waren. Maar, voor dat ik mijn keuze had gemaakt, wilde Esther mij nog de nieuwste geur laten ruiken: Lime, Basil & Manderin. Het zal misschien nieuw voor je zijn: Basilicum in een geur, maar wát een uitvinding. Persoonlijk ben ik gek op basilicum en hier werd ik dan ook heel blij van. A múst-smell!

Ontzettend lekkere combi.

Omdat ik zo enthousiast werd over deze geur, ging Esther op zoek naar een combinatie. Dit werd: Dark Amber & Ginger Lily. Echt een ontzettend lekkere combi. Fris, sexy en heel classy. We vonden het een perfecte combinatie voor mij en gingen dus voor deze geur-combi. Daarna kreeg ik een heerlijke hand- en arm massage, waarbij Esther verschillende producten gebruikte van de Basil-lijn en die van de Ginger Lily. Door het op die manier “op te bouwen”, versterken de geuren elkaar en krijg je een resultaat dat je de hele dag door blijft ruiken.

Jo Malone London is niet zomaar een geur, of even snel een product kopen. Het is een ervaring die je mee moet en wil maken. Naast de heerlijke body (en geuren) lijn, is er ook een huis-lijn met geurkaarsen en sprays, zodat je ook je huis een heerlijke sfeer mee kunt geven.
