NYFW 2017 recap – Fashion hypes
NYFW 2017, New York Fashionweek.. What ride was that! Gorgeous collections and new trends that made their intrance.
Today we’re talking about some amazing designers, while showing off their collections.
Romantic at He♥rt
The first is from designer Erin Fetherston. Her muse was: “ Romantic at Heart”, comining romantic shapes and fabrics; such as silk, chiffon, all with metallic thread woven through. Also velvet and fringed dresses were seen in her collection. All with a bohemian touch. The makeup was kept natural and the hair natural and wavy.
Brock Collection – feminine silhouettes and plush scarves
We see a very feminine collection, with a soft color palette that matches the pale and colored skintones perfectly. The shapes remind us a bit of the mid 30’s, super elegant and chique dinner proof.
Adam Selvine – Cowboy style! Western Flair
Playful and cool, with lots of denim details. What we also saw a lot on the runway, were the “twisted ring”-belts. We see them on trousers, suits and skirts, which give it an edgy touch. Rose embroideries were a recurrent pattern in the collection, which kind of reminds me of my trousers from Loavies and collection from Dolce&Gabbana. Also the metallic touch we saw again, which we can’t wait to wear!
Yuna Yang – the lights in the shadow
For this collection, Yuna was inspired by women taking a stand in troubled times, looking at the Women’s March and protesting women in South Korea. In her collection, she featured bold prints and dancing colors, using velvet and light fabrics. She used 70’s-inspired pants with flower prints and metallic fabrics to transform sweatshirts into sophisticated items.
