Why I started my Blog
It’s a question I get a lot. Whenever I meet someone new, of course I tell them about my Blog. It’s a big part of my life and I’m working on it every single day.

Q: So… why did I start my Blog?
As a little girl I loved to write. I wrote little stories, poems, lyrics… I cut out images I loved and made up stories with them. Played with Barbiedolls and created a whole new imaginary world. In short: I was (and still am) a creative girl.

At primary school I started my own schoolpaper called: Charissa’s Animal news. Everybody loved it and I loved making it. I’m a huge animal lover, which is the reason why my first paper was about that. At high school I, of course, continued the schoolpaper thing. I’ve had websites, created stories at forums.. Writing has been something I’ve always loved to do.
So when I had a gap year, I jumped. Took a shot and started my own blog.
It wasn’t booming in the beginning and I didn’t have lots of followers on Instagram right away. I was super happy if I reached the 10 likes on one photo! But slowly I started to grow and I’m super happy and proud about how far I’ve come and how much I’ve grown.

Q: Why do you write about the topics you write about?
The reason why I write about Fashion, Lifestyle and Travel, is because those things play a huge part in my life. I’ve always loved to wear things that weren’t super usual or “easy”. I’m always moving, always on the go and seeking for adventure and new places. So far the travel part. Lifestyle.. well, a lot of things can be called lifestyle. Such as sports, food, but also tips, things that go through my mind or even beauty. Basically, my blog is just one big online diary. My own piece of internet where I can share my stories and creativity.
Q: Are you blogging full time?
I am working on my Blog full time, but I’m also studying Communication 🙂
My advice when you start a blog:
Just write about what you like. About what you do. What you feel and what you want. You are you and that’s what makes you unique. It will be hard to always come up with new content. Sometimes you’ll be super busy, or tired, or you simply don’t know what to write about.

Either write something worth reading, or do something worth writing about
Go writing anyway. Just type and see what comes “out of your fingers”. And if nothing comes: don’t worry. It will. It’s better not to post, then to post something that makes no sense.

I so agree with you, we have a lot of things in common, I’ve just started blogging, but I feel myself so comfortable now, like I have a right to tell people about things that I like

These are in many ways the same reasons I began blogging. I had a full time day job when I began blogging, but as it was an office job I felt I wanted to get back to my creative roots and now I’m doing it full time which is both so rewarding, but also requires a lot of work. I love that you already in elementary school had a newspaper about animals as I am very much into animal rights as well!

This is interesting to read about how you got started, I love to tell stories as well! It’s funny how I think back and was so happy when I began with a few likes on a photo and now I beat myself up if people don’t seem to like something I create. So much time and energy goes into it, that can be disheartening. Still, we have to push on and remember what motivated us in the beginning.

My blog is definitely my online diary! It’s a place I can vent if needed and post pretty pics and inspire people. There’s not too many places where you can do both of those. My blog is pretty much me on a home page! Excited to follow your journey to blogging full time!
