I have no difficulties with braiding my hair into one myself, but when I try to braid two… Girl… Don’t even start about it.

Today’s look; Boxer Braids, Black and White and my cute Tommy Hilfiger Crossover.

I don’t believe you, if you say you haven’t heard of the Boxer Braids – trend yet. It’s been (and still is) a big hype on television, the internet, blogs, streets, everywhere. The thing with boxer braids, is that it’s so hard to do it yourself! I have no difficulties with braiding my hair into one braid myself, but when I try to braid two… Girl… Don’t even start about it. Yes, it’s a matter of practice and I will practice until I own the boxer braids, but still. If you have this problem too: you’re not alone in this one 😉

The other thing with Boxer Braids, is that you have to be really careful with how you pair and combine them with. When you wearing really feminine/flowy/flowery/cute clothing, your boxer braids will make you look super young (as in little girl young)…

However, when you combine your Boxer Braids with an edgy/cool/funky outfit, they’ll look smokin’. The outfit I’m wearing today, consists out of a cropped top and tight pencil skirt in same prints. The materials are similar to sporting clothes and the printing and cut make it look cool, instead of cute. To give the whole outfit that playful look, I decided to pair it with high socks and ankle boots (with a wink to the school girl – look).

Ik geloof je niet als je nu zegt dat je nog niet gehoord hebt van de Boxer Vlechten. Het was (en is) een grote hype op televisie, internet, blogs, op straat, overal… Het probleem met boxer vlechten is alleen dat het zo moeilijk is om zelf te doen! Ik heb geen problemen met het invlechten van mijn eigen haar, maar als ik probeer twee vlechten te maken… Girl, begin er niet over!
Tuurlijk, het is een kwestie van oefenen en ik zal oefenen totdat ik het in de puntjes kan, maar toch. Als je met hetzelfde probleem zit: je bent niet de enige 😉

Het andere punt met Boxer Vlechten, is dat je echt voorzichtig zijn met hoe je het combineert. Wanneer je super vrouwelijke / zwierig / bloemrijke / schattige kleding draagt en je Boxer Braids draagt, zal je super jong ogen (als in: klein meisje)…

Echter, wanneer je de Boxer Vlechten combineert met een stoere / coole / funky outfit, zullen ze er smokin’ uit zien. De outfit van vandaag, bestaat uit; een cropped top en strakke kokerrok in dezelfde print. Het materiaal is een beetje vergelijkbaar met die van sportkleding en de print en snit zorgen voor een super sportieve en coole look, in plaats van schattig. Om look nog wat meer die speelse look te geven, heb ik besloten om het te combineren met hoge sokken en enkellaarsjes (met natuurlijk een dikke knipoog naar het “schoolmeisje”
