In the previous article I wrote that I would go to the concert Ludovico Einaudi (& Amsterdam Symphony Orchestra) so I thought: why not write an article about it? 🙂

It was a fun girls night out together with la mama.

We had a great entry with lots of champagne falling out of the sky – ha, champagne? I meant water. It was raining – walking on the red carpet waiting to enter the building “Het Nieuwe Luxor Theater”.

It was loaded with people sitting, walking, being everywhere: so much fun to see all these people wearing lots of different clothes. Casual, hipster, super chic, a bit of all three… I wore a black maxi dress with a split on the back and my studded jacket with (fake) leather sleeves, a black clutch and some jewellery.

Then we entered the Room where it was all about to happen.
The audience stood up and gave the Amsterdam Symphony Orchestra a big applause, then Ludovico Einaudi entered the stage and the applause became even bigger – they hadn’t played a thing yet!

How was it?

It was amazing! To be honest, I didn’t quite know what to expect… but the ambiance, the music, the whole thing, it was breath-taking and a huge disappointment when it was over. I’m not sure if Ludovico Einaudi will give another concert in the Netherlands ever again, but if he will: I’ll be there again too! He played (one of) my favourite song(s) Divenire at the beginning and Una Mattina in the end (soundtrack Les Intouchables). Edit: For those who don’t know who Ludovico Einaudi is and where it’s all about: he plays modern classical music on the piano and lead the group Amsterdam Symphony Orchestra (violists, double bass players, etc.)

After?

After the concert we had a little sip, we stood in the wrong row at first (waited for ten minutes for nothing, we had an arrangement with a little snack and something to drink, the row we were in was for drinks only), but then we were redirected to the right place. Unfortunately the snacks were already gone, and they didn’t make new ones. So we got a second drink, which isn’t really the same, but hey.

It was awesome, we’ve had the time of our life and if he’ll be back in the Netherlands for a second concert, I’d definitely recommend it!
