Claes Iversen, Amsterdam Fashion Week January 2016- It took our Breath away
Friday Night was magical. Claes Iversen, showed us some amazing garments this year. He came up with eleven couture pieces and his forth ready to wear collection. His work can be recognized by an ultra-female silhouette, luxurious use of material and eye for detail. All of this combined with a large dose of non-Dutch glamour. Claes develops strong collections with a conceptual approach, yet wearable for the young mature woman with an international mindset.

For this year’s AW 2016 collection, Claes got Inspired by the 60’s movie ‘Rosemary’s Baby’. He presented us an amazing collection with beautiful plaited midi skirts and dresses, sweaters made of cashmere or mohair, combined with brogues, loafers and studded boots. All of them in colors like; black, olive, pink and burgundy.

Furthermore he gave us lots of baby-blue and catchy collars, with a typical classic French feeling. The models wore net-panties underneath their classy clothes, which gave it the ultimate look: feminine, classy, yet grungy and sexy.
Funny detail; Claes Iversen used the motive of the net panties in the design of his clothes too.

The second part of the show, gave the audience a winter-wonderland feeling. Sparkles and “snow” falling out of the sky, showing us marvelous designed wedding- and couture dresses in light pastels, with added pearls and crystals.

A fairy tale like collection with lots of flower details in Claes Iversen’s show. Magnificent.
