Yesterday’s article was all about my Festival Fashion Faves and today I’m telling you all about Festival make-up and my newest treasure: the MUA Palette !

When you’re wearing bold and festive clothes, it might be a little bit too much if you also go for a bright and colorful make-up look. HOWEVER, you’re going to a festival and it’s Summer, so colorful make-up looks are allowed. Any time!
And if you’re not wearing festive clothes (or even going to a festival): you can still go wild with your make-up.

Ever heard of “MUA” before? I didn’t!

But I got this beauty in my mailbox and when I saw these colors I was wow’ed.
Usually, when it comes to bright colors, the pigment is quite bad. This Mua palette however, is great. The colors are just as bright and bold as you see here on the picture. Of course you can go bolder with more layers, but the pigment is good no matter what. The other thing that you might like about this palette, is that it’s really affordable. This 12 Shades Poptastic Mua Palette costs you 4 pounds on the official MUA website, but for the Dutchies: you can get it at the Kruidvat stores.

I’ve used all the colors of the Mua Palette : purple and the two shades of Pink at the outside of my eyes and in the crease, and I started mixing with shades of blue and green on the rest of my eyes. In the corners I used the gold/yellow colors and at the bottom lash line I used blue, green, purple/pink and gold again.
I also used a black eyeliner, this can be any eyeliner you like, and the Purple MUA mascara you see on the picture above. The lipstick is from Sans Soucis.

On the pictures above I braided my hair in a fishtail and I wore a hair jewel. I bought it a while ago, but you can still get it at a lot of accessory/hair shops.

I also decided to take a few shots with my hair down, I actually like my hair down even more I think.. It’s more Bohemian 🙂
