I’ve sailed for almost 4,5 years when I was little!

The way you had to dress during the sailing-lessons was in a… not so cute outfit. That life-jacket always got in the way. When you had to go to the toilet, oh man, you had to undress almost all the way.

Shitty weather in Summer

So I’m back in the Netherlands for quite a while now, wearing this cute outfit! Normally it would be shitty weather here in the Netherlands but this year it’s actually pretty nice! It’s super sweaty weather, which is the other way around almost, but you do get more of that Summer feeling. We shot photos of this cute outfit at a little harbor, with all kinds of sailboats and motorboats.

Spui days

In Oud Beijerland they have Spui-dagen(days). It is a festivity around this harbor. People come together wearing their cute outfit and having a laugh and a drink. I like to attend it, because it’s so much fun. Epecially when the weather is good and you can wear you Summer clothes.

Competition in a not so cute outfit

As a little girl I took sailing-lessons for half a year. There was this competition for all sailors at night, which I entered.. There were a lot of people sailing that night. So only a few people were paying attention to the younger ones. During the competition it started to rain and I started to panic. There was só much wind and I forgot what to do. After that day I stopped sailing for half a year, when my parents encouraged me to try it one more time. Luckily , because then I sailed for four more years.

Great times wearing cute outfits

When I think back, I remember the great times we had during sailing. There was even a Summer Camp for a week: Sailing during the day. In the evening we put on some cute outfits and made a campfire. We sat around it and did all sorts of games. Great times.
