#My Secrets – Online Shopping
I do it, You do it, We all do it
Online shopping ! It’s a lot more fun to go shopping in the city, we all know that, but parking fees are really expensive nowadays (3 euro’s per hour doesn’t make it really likely to go shopping very often) and it’s so easy shopping online… Click, click, click and your whole wardrobe is on its way –

you’re not really going to order so much clothes at once of course, because you’ve read my #My Fashion secrets😉 – Still, there are a few things to keep in mind before making an order at an online Webshop and today I’ll be sharing my Seven Online Shopping Secrets with you.

Secret one: the thing I always like to do, is paying by bill but this isn’t always a possibility. Another option to pay with is by PayPal. I love paying by PayPal, because if you don’t get your package or the quality is really bad: you can ask your money back.

Secret two: if you live in Europe, you should take account of the duties you’ll have to pay. Here in the Netherlands, the additional costs for packages outside Europe are at least 10 euro’s, at least.
Half a year ago, I ordered something from China and it came in two packages. What I didn’t know back then, was that I had to pay duties. Two packages à la 30 euro’s extra. Also: the things inside the packages weren’t what I expected, so I had to send it all back to China -and sending it back + duties costed me more than the content itself was worth…

Secret three:  The things I was talking about before, were from the webshop called: Light in the Box. On the pictures the clothing and things all look really nice and it’s all really cheap, however: the quality is crap so my advice is: do not buy from Light in the Box. My secret three therefore is: have a look at some reviews, before you make an order at a webshop you’ve never ordered (or/and heard about). Once I bumped into a webshop with beautiful gala dresses and evening gowns, but when I googled it… I only read negative reviews. Of course, it doesn’t have to mean something, because you might have a different experience. But it’s advisable to keep in mind.

Secret four: I didn’t like ordering at “foreign” webshops before, like Asos, River Island or Boohoo, because I never knew 1) what size I should get and 2) I thought sending it back would be very expensive… I’m not really sure about River Island or Boohoo about sending your delivery back, however: I can only be super enthusiastic about Asos. If there’s a Kiala point near your house, you can send it back for only 5,95 euro’s! Make sure to check that before you order 🙂
And about the sizes: I have size 36, M, so I never knew if I should go for size 8 or 10, it’s size 8.

This Size Guide is from Asos and the sizes are exactly like they say.
So:
-XXS, 30, UK size -> 2
-XS, 32, UK size-> 4
-S, 34, UK size-> 6
-M, 36, UK size-> 8
-L, 38, UK size-> 10
-XL, 40, UK size->12
-XXL, 42, UK size->14
etc.

Secret five: Here in the Netherlands the weather isn’t always suitable for crop tops, shorts and dresses, so you have to make sure you also have clothes to combine these items with, when it’s more cold outside. What I’m trying to say is, ask yourself first “Will I be able to wear this? Am I going to wear this? How often will I wear this?” (I always spent way much more on Summer clothing, but it’s usually Summer for four weeks in the Netherlands and then it starts raining again. Now I make sure I also buy some cardigans and jackets, so that I can still wear cute dresses and tops, even when it’s 10 degrees outside!)

Secret six: My advice would be: Make an account at the webshop and place your found items in a wishlist first. This way you’ll see every picked item one more time and usually you’ll scrap several items from your list after seeing them one more time. It’s also a nice way to find out if it’s compatible with each other, because you’ll see them all in one place.

Secret seven: the last one is a really smart one that will save you money and who doesn’t want that? Search for… online discount codes! Type in: “*name of webshop* discount code 2015” and if you’re lucky you’ll find one that you can use, that will save you money (up to 5, 10, 15% or more)
