Today’s outfit is a mix of today’s fashion and the Twenties, the little hat kind of reminds me of this Timezone Charleston .

Our timezone vs 20tisch Charleston

I really love (the clothes of) our timezone, of course I do, but I also love mixing things from previous timezones into today’s fashion. I’m talking about this hat, but also about the high-waist-jeans and bootcut fittings (70’s), the Bohemian feeling, the silk white blouse, shoulder padded blazers … The 20’s and the 40’s are my favourite, because it was all about feminine, over the top chic and elegant clothes.
The pink-pastel-coat I’m wearing is also really cool, because it has a big hood, which reminds me a bit of Red Riding Hood… So today I was Pink Riding Hood with a Charleston hat 🙂

The Charleston

is a dance named for the harbor city of Charleston, South Carolina. The rhythm was popularized in mainstream dance music in the United States by a 1923 tune called “The Charleston”

Korte rokken, hoeden, kort haar, rode lipstick, colbertkostuums, Coco Chanel; sleutelwoorden die kenmerkend zijn voor de jaren 20 gaven het leven een nieuwe impuls na de Eerste Wereldoorlog. Jaren 20 kleding staat voor vrijheid, blijheid, optimisme en voorspoed.
